Tensions flared in Noida’s industrial belt as workers from multiple factories launched a protest demanding wage parity with neighbouring Haryana. The agitation soon turned violent, with demonstrators damaging public property and confronting police personnel.

Workers argue that the recent wage hike in Haryana has exposed disparities in pay structures across regions. Many say they are struggling to sustain themselves in urban areas due to low wages, despite working long hours. Female workers also raised concerns about safety and lack of proper facilities at workplaces.

The administration has stepped in to restore order, deploying reinforcements and initiating dialogue. Officials stressed the importance of maintaining peace while promising to look into wage-related concerns through proper channels.
