The Aam Aadmi Party has removed senior leader Raghav Chadha from the post of deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha, replacing him with Punjab MP Ashok Mittal. The decision, officially communicated to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, has sparked widespread speculation about internal dynamics within the party.

Sources indicate that the communication also suggested that Chadha may no longer be allotted speaking time in the Upper House, further intensifying discussions around his role. The move comes amid his noticeable absence from key party events, including a press conference led by Arvind Kejriwal and a major ‘jan sabha’ at Jantar Mantar, where the party launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Chadha, a chartered accountant by profession, has been associated with AAP since its inception in 2012. Over the years, he has held several key roles, including national treasurer and member of the Political Affairs Committee, the party’s highest decision-making body. Despite the current developments, party leaders have maintained that the change is part of routine organizational adjustments.
